Alluvial All Black Pocket Knife
Formed over thousands of years and shaped by the immense force of water, alluvial soils were already regarded in ancient Egypt as a fortunate blessing for abundant harvests. The erosion of sediments created distinctive soils along coasts, rivers, and lakes that are extremely rich in nutrients—something designer Justin Lundquist himself describes as the inspiration for his impressive Alluvial All Black knife design. This nature-loving knife designer from the USA has been fascinated by knives since the age of four and has been successfully bringing his own designs to life since 2013. Overflowing with inspiration in this first joint project with Böker, he suspends the laws of nature and brings new life to the world of automatic knives with this slim model. The D2 blade opens and unlocks via push button. The button and blade pivot screw are recessed into the aluminum handle. The firm alluvial foundation is represented by the front, mostly smooth section of the handle, while the fine texturing at the rear captures the incoming sediment. The clip allows comfortable carry and completes the subtly earthy appearance of this automatic knife.
