A rescue tool must above all meet one key requirement: in an emergency and stressful situation, it must be fast, easy to use, and reliable. The technically best solution that meets this requirement is a design with an automatic out-the-front mechanism (OTF) featuring a robustly engineered and carefully manufactured system. The blade, designed as a rescue hook with a rounded tip, prevents accidental injury during the rescue of another person or during self-rescue. The cutting edge with an inner radius behind the tip allows quick and intuitive engagement with harnesses, cords, and ropes, as well as safe cutting of injured persons' clothing. The aggressive serrated edge on the second half of the blade also enables cutting through thick and encrusted ropes. D2 stainless steel was used for the blade thanks to its extremely high edge retention in pull-cutting applications. The handle body is equipped with pronounced finger grooves for the required grip security and is additionally textured to prevent slipping. The aluminum material used for the handle provides the required strength combined with low weight. The indispensable glass breaker for shattering side windows features an effective steep taper. The core of the glass breaker is made of extremely hard tungsten carbide. For easy replacement in case of wear, the glass breaker is screwed onto the handle.
