The AD-15 may be the most comfortable, user-friendly tactical knife we have ever made! Modeled after Andrew Demko’s patented original, it offers ambidextrous operation and opens and closes with one hand. The blade features a clipped spear point with a false edge for excellent piercing capability and edge control when precise cutting is required. What sets the AD-15 apart most is its unique hybrid handle, because it incorporates Andrew’s famous Scorpion Lock. The lower part of the handle has 3D-machined G-10 scales attached to steel liners, while the upper part of the handle, called the “yoke,” is made from 3D-machined 6061 aluminum billet, with an integral backspacer section that covers a strong compression spring. To open the knife, simply push the thumb stud with your thumb and watch the yoke rise until it drops snugly into the deep notch in the blade tang. Held securely by constant spring pressure and enhanced by grip strength, the Scorpion Lock is practically immune to failure!
