Cold Steel is a company dedicated to making the strongest, sharpest knives in the world. Over the last three decades, Cold Steel has been at the forefront of numerous innovations that helped define the knife industry. Successive achievements, including the introduction of checkered Kraton® handles and tanto point blade styles, evolved from curious innovations into recognized marks of quality and sophistication across the industry. New ground was also broken with the introduction of unique blade steels such as San Mai III® and the Tri-Ad ™ Lock locking mechanism for folding knives. For example, the Tri-Ad ™ Lock has never been matched by any of Cold Steel’s competitors, and nothing they have produced to date has been proven to surpass it. Of course, Cold Steel will always look to the future and continually strive to make the strongest, sharpest knives in the world. This goal, as elusive and difficult to achieve as it may be, has remained the same for the past forty years. Cold Steel Inc. is focused on producing the strongest, sharpest knives, swords, tomahawks, machetes, cutlery, and everyday carry tools: EDC. Quickly embraced by military personnel, special law enforcement units, emergency services workers, self-defense professionals, and members of the martial arts community, Cold Steel rapidly became renowned for quality, strength, reliability, and dependable everyday carry (EDC). Our diverse and wide-ranging lineup quickly expanded to include not only a massive selection of folding knives (from smaller “EDC” blades to our iconic giant “mega folders”), but also fixed blades, swords, sabers, staffs, and halberds, as well as hunting gear, spears, blowguns, axes, machetes, tomahawks, and tools! Over the decades, Cold Steel introduced groundbreaking new materials and designs that helped shape the world of modern knives, edged weapons, and tools. From the introduction of checkered Kraton® handles and the “Americanized” Tanto blade to the inclusion of innovative new blade steels like San Mai III® and game-changing locking mechanisms (such as our Tri-Ad ™ Lock). As we look to the future, Cold Steel continues to bring new levels of strength, safety, and performance to the market, delivering proven products you can rely on – anytime and anywhere!
