Cold Steel HUDSON BAY TOMAHAWK Axe
Detailed product description
Cold Steel HUDSON BAY TOMAHAWK Axe
Almost every tomahawk you can buy on the market today has its roots in the Hudson Bay Axe used for centuries in the vast forests and swamps of northeastern Canada. Known for its versatility and efficiency, the Hudson Bay Axe became indispensable for anyone trying to wrest a living from the wilderness. We too are great admirers of this famous axe pattern, so we decided (like many before us) to reformat it into a tomahawk format. Drop forged from 1050 carbon steel, like all of our hawks, it offers a 3 ½ long cutting edge of classic shape, as well as a substantial poll that can be used for pounding, crushing, and hammering. You can even drive nails and spikes with it, because like the blade it is differentially hardened. Supplied with a hard, straight-grained American Hickory handle, it is ready for life in the woods and, in an emergency, will also serve as a frighteningly effective weapon.
