The blade is also equipped with an upgraded opening hole featuring the patented HTR™, designed by Andrew Demko. This shaped hole allows a secure grip on the blade and proper distribution of thumb pressure during opening, and it is adapted for both right-handed and left-handed users. The knife’s luxurious appearance is enhanced by the "silver" opening hole and the polished "gold" pocket clip. This very fine-grained powder steel with a uniform microstructure offers highly stable properties. It remains durable even with a very fine edge bevel, is reliable, and highly corrosion resistant. It is a good choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM process (particle metallurgy) guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpenability, and strength compared to steels produced by conventional methods. Despite the lower chromium content, this steel performs very well in terms of corrosion resistance. The handle is made of polished carbon fiber, which is very lightweight while also sufficiently strong and durable. The Golden Eye is equipped with the unique Cold Steel® Tri-Ad Lock™ patent. This lock prevents accidental or unintended closure of the knife even after natural wear over time.
