The Extrema Ratio BD1 R is a new knife designed for lightness. It features a very slim profile focused on keeping weight low without giving up the usual toughness and reliability of Extrema Ratio, also thanks to the black anodized anticorodal handle.
The modified satin-finished blade is made from Bohler N690 steel hardened to 58 HRC, 2.75” (70 mm) long and 0.1” (2.5 mm) thick.
The blade is fitted with the usual “Razor” blade extension, allowing easy ambidextrous operation. A simple yet robust liner lock system keeps the blade open.
The ambidextrous clip with lightening holes helps keep the knife’s weight to a minimum.
With an overall length of 6.7” (170 mm) and a weight of only 2.7 oz (75 g), the Extrema Ratio BD1 R is an extremely lightweight and slim knife, making it an ideal EDC choice.
