Extrema Ratio FERRUM RESCUE RED Folding Knife
Detailed product description
Extrema Ratio FERRUM RESCUE RED Folding Knife
Ferrum Rescue is a tool designed for rescue missions, developed in collaboration with Andrea Micheli, an expert in military and law enforcement, journalist, and shooting instructor. It has an extremely compact handle and three blades performing the following functions:
The first and main blade is 3 millimeters thick. It is designed for very demanding use and prevents premature wear of the edges of the other two blades. Its serration allows it to cut larger ropes or textiles, while the plain edge works as a proper knife. The second blade is a scalpel, which can be used for extremely precise cuts and performing emergency actions.
The third and smallest blade, located on the back side of the main blade, is a rope cutter, which can also be used for cutting aramid paracords. The combination of the main blade and the scalpel allows the user to make an emergency cut and free an injured person from clothing. Both the rope cutter and the scalpel are replaceable.
Ferrum Rescue has a slim and compact shape; its anodized anticorodal aluminum handle makes it light, slim, and durable. It can be carried in a pocket, in small flashlight pouches, or on a single M.O.L.L.E. system strap. At the bottom, it is also equipped with a hard-metal glass breaker. It comes with flipper opening. The blade rotates on ball bearings, resulting in smooth and solid action. This mechanism allows the user to open the blade easily and quickly even with one hand only. The locking mechanism is the proven liner lock.
The ambidextrous clip is located on the back. Ferrum Rescue is available in two versions, red and black; the first has a clear rescue connotation, as it helps the user find the knife in the event of a drop. The second has a more tactical and less conspicuous character.
