The EXTREMA RATIO SETHLANS is a fixed-blade working knife suitable for survival, bushcraft, prepping, and also as a backup knife.
SETHLANS was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced F.I.S.S.S. instructor (Italian Federation of Sport and Experimental Survival).
SETHLANS is available in two different versions with two different types of steel.
The stonewashed version is made from Böhler N690 steel, heat treated to 58 HRC, chosen for the reliability it has demonstrated over the last 20 years thanks to its resistance to oxidation and edge durability.
The black version is made from D2 steel, heat treated and cryogenically treated to 60 HRC, offering high sharpenability even with improvised tools. To achieve higher hardness quality and resistance, the blade is coated with the new Teflon-based “EXP DARK” finish designed by Extrema Ratio.
The knife comes with G10 grips featuring the ergonomic design characteristic of Extrema Ratio handles. They can be removed, revealing the skeletonized structure of the knife, which allows maximum lightness with minimal thickness. For lovers of extreme customization, the full tang construction allows the handle to be wrapped with paracord.
The sheath consists of a very lightweight and minimalist Kydex body. It can be disassembled and adapted for both left- and right-handed users. Adding the optional belt clip allows the knife to be carried vertically or horizontally and makes the sheath much more versatile than the textile version. It is also equipped with a mini sheath with M.O.L.L.E. system. The sheath includes a dual-sided sharpening stone and a firesteel for ignition.
