Satre is a compact, lightweight, and extremely durable fixed blade knife. Thanks to its characteristics, it can be used for many different activities and in many fields, including survival and bushcraft, or as part of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit. It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced Instructor. Thanks to the Paracord 550 lanyard, it can be worn as a neck knife. In this way, it can be kept in a vertical position with the handle facing downward. The pre-shaped Kydex sheath has eyelets that allow the use of both a cord and an accessory holder. The ULTICLIP carry solution has been available since January 2022 (only on extremaratio.com). This makes it possible to attach the sheath not only to belts, but also to pockets, trousers, jackets, shirts, and T-shirts. ULTICLIP offers the possibility to position the knife both vertically and horizontally and provides easier use for both left-handed and right-handed users. All three Satre versions come with a black sheath. A desert sheath can be purchased separately as an extra. The full-tang skeletonized structure allows the knife to be customized with Paracord as a handle wrap. Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: the Black and Stone Washed versions are made from Böhler N690 steel heat treated to 58 HRC. This material was chosen for its oxidation resistance, edge retention, and above all for its reliability proven over the years. The Black S600 version, on the other hand, is made from Böhler S600 steel. This steel is used for the production of locksmithing and stamping tools. It has excellent properties in terms of hardness, wear resistance, and toughness thanks to the presence of molybdenum, tungsten, and the significant addition of vanadium to its chemical composition. The presence of cobalt promotes the formation of small, evenly distributed carbides, which increase wear resistance. Satre S600 is heat treated and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This also makes it highly wear resistant and provides a long-lasting edge. Böhler S600 contains 4.5% chromium, which makes it oxidizable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio chose the new EXP DARK finish. Due to its extreme hardness and resistance to wear and abrasion, this steel is not easy to sharpen.
