The VG-10 San Mai III® blade is perfectly heat treated and expertly finished with a double grind. The blade surface is then polished to a beautiful satin finish, and the edges are ground and polished to hair-shaving sharpness! The black G10 scales are attached to the blade with 6 stainless steel pins and are expertly hand-shaped and contoured.<br><br>This classic sub-hilt fighter was first developed by Bob Loveless, one of the founding members of the Knifemakers' Guild. It is perhaps the quintessential combat knife. Its 8” blade offers excellent reach and incredible penetration with very little physical effort. The sub-hilt practically eliminates the possibility of the hand slipping or coming into contact with the blade. In addition, the lower handle makes quick and easy withdrawal after insertion.
