FULCRUM is a milestone among multipurpose knives. It is widely used in Afghanistan as standard equipment for the Italian mission unit “Nibbio” and is part of the experimental project for renewing individual equipment by the Alpine Troops Command. While preparing this important mission, the Alpine Troops Command coordinated a team of companies to create a complete and renewed set of individual experimental equipment. Extrema Ratio was the company selected and contacted by the Alpine Troops Command to develop a multipurpose tool suitable for line infantry, a knife that could be used in all latitudes and that could successfully solve any type of problem that more specialized equipment could not handle. The success was such that this multipurpose function led to the development of the Fulcrum bayonet with the same characteristics, but attachable to a service rifle. FULCRUM is an extremely robust and versatile knife. The blade withstands breaking loads exceeding 150 kg, the tip is very strong, and the profile allows the knife to be used for long periods without affecting the sharpness of the final section. Thanks to its forward balance and blade weight, it is suitable for heavy field work. Available in FULCRUM EI, FULCRUM BLACK, and FULCRUM DESERT WARFARE versions.
The shorter version of the FULCRUM with a 15 cm (5.91”) blade. The same features as the FULCRUM, except for the lighter weight, which becomes noticeable during hard work. Available versions: FULCRUM S BLACK, FULCRUM S DESERT WARFARE.
