Karambit – a type of knife that originated in Indonesia, with roots in Malaysia and the Philippines. It is characterized by a finger ring and a crescent-shaped blade known for its high efficiency. It allows control of the cut material by holding it on the curved sharpened edge, preventing the object from slipping off the end of the blade. The hawkbill imitates the tearing action of an eagle's or tiger's claw, piercing and cutting at the same time. It is used as a work knife and for self-defense.
N690 - high-carbon stainless steel with added cobalt for structural uniformity. Today, one of the best tool steels in the world. Hardened to 58-60 HRC. Made in the Austrian Böhler-Uddeholm steelworks.
Blade
Thanks to the aggressive Hawkbill profile, the rounded blade shape offers excellent cutting efficiency and speed. The Hawkbill profile imitates the tearing action of an eagle's or tiger's claw, piercing and cutting at the same time. Plain edge blade with an ultra-thin tip and excellent curvature for maximum cutting ability. Carefully crafted jimping reinforces the blade while also reducing its weight. Stonewashed finish for zero reflections.
Anodized aluminum scales screwed directly to the knife tang. The slightly rough surface combined with the handle contouring provides a secure grip in both primary and secondary grip. The handle ends with a finger ring (Back Ring). It prevents accidental release of the knife from the hand and also makes it easier to rotate the knife around the finger, allowing traditional techniques to be performed.
Sheath
Extremely flat, made of Kydex, it allows discreet carry under a shirt or on a belt. Large holes on the edges of the sheath are used to attach the knife to a belt or gear using the included piece of paracord. It can also be used to hang the knife around the neck.
