Fixed Knife Extrema Ratio KREIOS EXPEDITIONS
Detailed product description
Fixed Knife Extrema Ratio KREIOS EXPEDITIONS.
The Expedition Series is a new line of tools intended for professional explorers.
The knives in the Expedition series offer the same reliability and high quality as any other tactical tool by Extrema Ratio supplied to military special forces and law enforcement agencies.
Kreios Expeditions was developed and designed in collaboration with master advanced instructor Daniele Dal Canto, who described it as the “off-road” blade among edged tools. Its design is not intended only for a specific use, but as an extremely versatile multipurpose tool for a wide range of outdoor activities.
Thanks to its ergonomics, weight, and size, the Kreios Expeditions is highly effective for cutting paths through dense foliage, especially while maintaining a safe distance from thorny or otherwise dangerous vegetation. Thanks to its robustness, it also excels as a heavy-duty field work machete for tasks such as felling trees or splitting firewood.
The length of its 12” ¾ “full flat” cutting edge, combined with the blade’s 11° downward grip angle and a massive 22 ½ oz. weight, provides exceptional cutting capability and very high tolerance to tensile stress. Contemporary geometries and materials are combined with Malaysian and African traditions in a heavy-duty field work tool that, in an emergency, also functions as both a defensive and offensive weapon.
Kreios Expeditions features a desert Forprene handle and a blade made of BÖHLER N690 steel (58HRC) with MIL-C-13924 burnishing and a stonewashed finish (DARK STONE finish).
It comes with a desert cordura sheath with MOLLE system, a safety shoulder strap, a mini pouch containing paracord with a flammable fiber that can be used in emergencies and/or difficult weather conditions, and a Firesteel for starting a fire.
