The Cold Steel Espada was inspired by the classic Navaja knives of Spain, but was made completely modern in both appearance and materials. These mega-folders took the market by storm! Created through a collaboration between custom knifemaker Andrew Demko and Lynn C. Thompson, the Espadas are available in two sizes to suit both the bold and the boldest individuals! Despite their imposing size, they are expertly designed to fit comfortably and discreetly in your pocket. You’ll soon forget you’re carrying such a large and impressive blade. The large and extra-large Espadas, equipped with the patented Demko Thumb Plate, can catch on the edge of your pocket and open the knife as you draw it out – deploying in the blink of an eye! The beautiful Espada blades are made from Japanese AUS-10A stainless steel. Each Espada features the patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, proven to deliver astonishing shock resistance and strength. In their own notoriously brutal product testing, the XL Espada was not only able to hold 600 pounds of freely hanging weight, but was even used to support a hanging engine block!
