Detailed product description

Folding Knife Extrema Ratio FRAME ROCK TITAN BLUE SATIN.

The Extrema Ratio Frame Rock is a new knife derived from the Ti-Rock design, a successful custom-made frame lock that Extrema Ratio created for a renowned Italian distributor. The Extrema Ratio Frame Rock features a titanium handle that offers great toughness while remaining very lightweight. The integrity and service life of the frame lock are protected against wear by a heat-treated steel insert that can be easily replaced. Unlike its drop-point predecessor, the Frame Rock has a spear-point blade, 3” (75 mm) long, 0.23” (6.0 mm) thick, skeletonized to reduce weight. The blade is made of Bohler N690 steel, heat treated to 58 HRC. It is available in black with a DLC finish or stone wash. To make opening even smoother and more effortless, the blade pivots on ball bearings. This mechanism allows the user to adjust the force required to release the blade from the closed position using a screw. The shape of the rotating clip enables concealed carry in the pocket, making the knife invisible from the outside. The large, well-proportioned handle and stout blade allow it to handle demanding tasks. The Frame Rock weighs only 9.6 oz (270 g), making it fairly light for such a robust knife. It includes a mechanism that allows the user to adjust the force required to release the blade from the closed position using a screw. A lock nut keeps the adjustment screw in place once it has been set to the desired position. The ambidextrous clip with lightening holes is designed to allow deep pocket carry while keeping the knife as discreet as possible from the outside. The jimping milled into the handle makes one-handed opening easier via the classic ambidextrous thumb stud on the blade and improves handle transitions. With an overall length of 7.1” (181 mm), it falls into the medium-sized folder category, and the solid, large handle together with the well-proportioned, stout blade allows it to tackle heavy-duty tasks without concern for failure. Even so, the Frame Rock weighs only 9.6 oz (270 g), making it fairly light for such a robust knife. It comes with a special ABS case.
