Folding Knife Microtech Socom Bravo 260-8CFTI
Detailed product description
Folding Knife Microtech Socom Bravo 260-8CFTI.
The Microtech Socom Bravo Titanium Carbon folding knife is a gem among folding knives in every respect. The premium blade material (M390) is a top priority for cutting performance. Praising this 3rd generation powder metallurgy steel is like carrying coals to Newcastle, as it is currently No. 1 among blade materials. Hand in hand with the material goes the blade shape (a newly conceived drop point) with a pronounced fuller (“blood groove”). The stonewash-finished blade is equipped with thumb studs on both sides, but the knife is intended for right-handed users. The bevel and tip sharpening are done by hand and fully meet both cutting and piercing requirements. The blade rides on ceramic bearings and in a beryllium bronze bushing, showing no visible play even after rough handling (the bushing fit appears to be press-fitted with a ten-micron interference!). The handle combines structural design (application of a 3D machined titanium piece, complemented by carbon fiber scales for a better grip feel), practicality (jimping on the spine for easier and firmer control during push cuts, paracord lanyard hole), ergonomics (comfortable grip despite the edges and a guiding groove for the opening thumb), and strength (protection of the titanium lock spring against blade overtravel). All of these attributes place this folding knife at the pinnacle of modern knifemaking.
