Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified U.S. special operations unit – known as MACV-SOG – carried a unique covert knife into the jungle on secret missions. This version of the Aegis comes with a TiNi-coated D2 blade and an Indigo FRN handle. Designed for outdoor users, the Aegis AT offers rapid assisted opening with SOG’s innovative ambidextrous AT-XR lock, along with an ergonomic handle and grip pattern for comfortable use. The Aegis AT is easy to carry and features a highly functional 3.1″ cryogenically heat-treated D2 steel blade. Its powerful XR locking mechanism also includes a solid built-in blade safety and a spine-mounted safety system. The next evolution of the legendary Aegis.

THOUGHTFUL DESIGN

The patented XR lock with SOG’s proprietary Assisted Technology (AT) provides fast one-handed opening and solid lock-up once open. Reliable and powerful, capable of withstanding 1500 pounds of force, the AT-XR lock delivers maximum built-in blade-locking security when open and ensures it opens only when intended.
