Our story begins in Vietnam, where members of a highly classified U.S. special operations unit – known as MACV-SOG – carried a unique covert knife into the jungle on secret missions. A few years later, in 1986, that knife inspired a young designer named Spencer Frazer to found SOG Specialty Knives. PURPOSEFUL DESIGN

Every element of the Trident AT was developed for extreme or emergency situations—including rapid blade deployment, a line cutter, and a glass breaker—all seamlessly integrated with a high-grip texture and durable handle.

SOG’s patented XR lock with Assisted Technology (AT) provides rapid one-handed opening and solid lockup when open. Reliable and powerful, capable of withstanding 1500 pounds of force, the AT-XR lock provides maximum built-in blade-locking security when open and ensures that it opens only when intended.
