Microtech Dirac Delta 227-1 TA OTF Knife

As soon as you pick up the Microtech Dirac Delta® D/E 227‑1 TA (Tan Aluminum, Black), you immediately know you are holding a larger, more powerful version of the iconic Dirac series. This automatic OTF knife operates in D/A (Double Action) mode and features an extremely fast blade deployment mechanism. The slider is positioned on the side of the handle, providing more natural and ergonomic operation.

The model is 100% made and assembled in the USA and designed by Anthony Marfione – knifemaker and owner of the Microtech Knives brand.

🗡️ Blade – D/E Dagger

The D/E (Double Edge) Dagger blade is sharpened on both sides and features a pronounced central rib for increased strength. Long fuller / drainage grooves on both sides contribute to the structural strength and distinctive appearance.

The Black Finished coating (matte nanocomposite layer) provides:

high surface hardness

low friction

excellent corrosion resistance

non-reflective, tactical appearance

The high flat grind delivers excellent cutting performance while maintaining high piercing ability and strength.

The strong blade deployment and retraction mechanism requires a certain amount of force to overcome the spring resistance – for safety reasons. The design allows comfortable use for both right- and left-handed users.

The M390 Microclean® steel used is a martensitic powder chromium steel with high performance:

It is comparable to CPM 20CV or CTS-204P steel and is manufactured by Böhler Edelstahl in Austria.
