The Ultratech has forever set the standard for all out-the-front knives. It is Microtech’s original dual-action OTF knife and the foundation of their entire OTF lineup. Over the years, it has undergone several refinements, becoming more efficient and more reliable each time. The Ultratech spring remains in a “resting” position at all times except during deployment. This ensures the compressed spring does not wear out, giving users confidence that when the knife is fired, it will operate effectively. The Ultratech can take many different forms; it may be finished with a standard machined aluminum top or a piece of carbon fiber or G10. The lightweight Ultratech, with one-handed opening and closing, a slim profile, and a razor-sharp scalpel-like blade, makes it a unique knife available only from Microtech. This knife has proven time and time again that it can withstand any obstacle. Only time will tell what the next step will be for the Ultratech line.
