The Ultratech sets the standard for all out-the-front knives. It is Microtech’s original double-action OTF knife and the foundation of their entire OTF lineup. Over the years, it has gone through several refinements, becoming more efficient and reliable each time. This version features an improved contoured handle with a textured thumb slide for a more positive grip. The Ultratech spring remains in the “at rest” position at all times except during deployment. This ensures that the compressed spring does not wear out, giving users confidence that when the knife is fired, it will operate effectively. The Ultratech can take many different forms; it may be finished with a standard machined aluminum top or a piece of carbon fiber. Its light weight, one-handed opening and closing, slim profile, and razor-sharp scalpel-like blade make it a unique knife available only from Microtech. This knife has proven time and again that it can withstand any obstacle. Only time will tell what the next step will be for the Ultratech line.
