Rockstead NEHAN-ZDP (ER) Titanium-Artificial Marble (MB) Folding Knife
Detailed product description
Rockstead NEHAN-ZDP (ER) Titanium-Artificial Marble (MB) Folding Knife
Rockstead produced the original NEHAN from 2007 to 2010 and decided that 2017 was the right time to create an updated version of this model. It was designed by Koji Hara, a very famous custom knifemaker known all over the world, and it is a very faithful, classic representation of the original piece. However, all the materials are completely different, making this NEHAN a more premium and harder-use tool than the original.
The NEHAN is a perfect example of Japanese styling, craftsmanship, and attention to detail. It is one of the highest-quality folding knives available in the world, with Rockstead's expertise cultivated through many years of experience. The blade is made from ZDP-189 steel with a traditional mirror-polished finish and locks with a button lock. There are two different handle material options available for the NEHAN; both are durable and feature exactly the same milled pattern. MB is "Artificial Marble," used in high-end kitchen countertops, while ER is "Ebonite," used in high-end fountain pens. These materials are attached to titanium liners to give the knives strength and durability. The precise contemporary finishing of the handle manufacturing process allows Rockstead to build the knife without visible screws, preserving the clean look of this design, which is meant to resemble the fold of a Japanese kimono. It feels extremely comfortable and solid in the hand. Individually numbered.
With proper maintenance, Rockstead knives are known to keep a sharp edge for 2-3 years.
