Čepel: Dvojitá čepel je vybavena lesklým strojně saténovým povrchem a má dva hladké břity ostré jako břitva. Čepel podobná dýce je vyrobena z vysoce výkonné americké nerezové oceli CTS-204P. Čepel menší než 2,5 palce (6,35 cm) má dvojčinný mechanismus otevírání a zatahování. Jednoduše posuňte palcový posuvník na straně rukojeti nahoru pro rozvinutí a dolů pro zatažení. Vnitřní pružina zůstává v klidu v otevřené i zavřené poloze, aby se snížilo opotřebení. Akce je plynulá a rychlá.

The UTX-70 (15% smaller than the UTX-85) is a dual action mini out the front automatic knife from Microtech that's one of the most friendly for everyday carry. The diminutive size is perfect for watch pocket or even key ring carry. This version has red contoured handles and a plain satin finished, Double Edge CTS-204P blade.

Blade: Equipped with a bright machine satin finish, the double edge blade has two razor sharp plain cutting edges. The dagger-like blade is made from high performance, American CTS-204P stainless steel. The sub-2.5 inch (6.35 cm) blade features a double action opening and retracting mechanism. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear. The action is smooth and fast.

Handle: Smooth, Red anodized 6061-T6 aluminum has improved rounded edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. As the UTX-70 is much smaller and thinner they have left off the jimping for a cleaner look. This is a gentleman's OTF automatic. The contoured handle design is easy on the hands and eyes. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and blasted pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.

CTS-204P: A highly wear-resistant, powder metallurgy stainless steel, CTS-204P has some of the highest edge retention and corrosion resistance available. CTS-204P is similar in performance to CPM-20CV and Bohler's M390.
