The Albatross is an EDC pocket knife from Maxace, named after the famous seabird. It is made from durable and reliable materials. The blade has a Clip-Point profile and is made from premium M390 steel. Blade lock mechanism - Slip-Joint. The handle is titanium with marble carbon fiber overlays, reliable and ergonomic. There is no pocket clip; the knife is equipped only with a lanyard hole at the back of the handle.
The blade is made from M390 steel. This is a premium powder martensitic steel with a high chromium and vanadium content. It is produced by the world-renowned Austrian company Bohler - Uddeholm AG. This steel is recognized as one of the best in the world for its wear resistance, high corrosion resistance, excellent strength, and toughness. It is currently a very popular material and is successfully used in the production of premium production knives as well as custom and maker models. Blades made from this steel are hardened to 58-62 HRC. It has excellent edge retention. However, it should be noted that the downside of this property is that sharpening is not entirely easy.
