Gauntlet is a simple, easy-to-use sharpening system that allows even beginner users to achieve sharp edges within minutes without electricity, oil, water, or complicated clamps or jigs. Its high-impact injection-molded plastic base features an integrated hand guard and specially designed holes that hold the sharpening rods at a perfect 40-degree angle (20 degrees per side) to create sharp edges that stay sharp for a long time. The star-shaped holes allow the rods to be rotated to expose fresh abrasive surfaces or to orient the edges of the rods for sharpening serrated edges. Ideal for most sharpening needs, the Gauntlet Select includes a pair of fine ceramic rods. For very dull knives or for reprofiling heavily worn edges, the Gauntlet Premium includes both fast-cutting cubic boron nitride (CBN) rods and fine ceramic rods.
