The second generation of Spyderco Salt 2 knives combines the exceptional corrosion resistance and extreme toughness of ultra-corrosion-resistant H-1 nitrogen-based steel with the refined ergonomics of the handle from the best-selling Delica 4. The Salt 2 Wharncliffe continues this evolution by adding the unmatched cutting performance and precision of a hollow-ground Wharncliffe blade profile. Available with a choice of PlainEdge or fully serrated SpyderEdge, its other time-tested features include a lockback mechanism, a bright yellow fiberglass-reinforced nylon (FRN) handle, a high-traction bi-directional texture pattern, and a four-position titanium pocket clip. Together with the fully accessible Trademark Round Hole, every aspect of this knife’s design is completely ambidextrous.

At the beginning of 2023, Spyderco announced a rolling change for its Salt series. The Salt series, originally produced from H1 stainless steel, is transitioning to H2 stainless steel, which provides increased corrosion resistance.
