Meet Clyde...

More "folk" than "lore."

More “urban” than “legend.”

More “dumb” than “gallant.”

Maybe it’s our fault that Clyde turned out the way he did. After all, we named him after our favorite watering hole in Portland, "The Clyde Common," located in the ACE Hotel in the Pearl District. And we created him as a mix of Scandinavia, Japan, and flirting with the Persians - no good beloved child can come from that... or can it? Well, we certainly think so!

The new Aluminium Clyde was made in honor of Clyde’s mom’s house... or actually the trailer, a pink 1969 Airstream in which Clyde grew up until his thirteenth birthday, when he joined the Flea Circus... but that’s another story.

For the Aluminium Clyde, we used N690 steel for the upswept blade. The handle looks smaller than it seems, much like Clyde claims in other matters, and the knife’s ergonomics may surprise you given its simple lines.

We think Clyde is the perfect EDC knife, and if you haven’t noticed yet, it has plenty of attitude that sets it apart!
