The original ACE Nimbus was created as the ultimate outdoor companion, designed with robust Nordic utility knives in mind. With Version 2, we decided to push the “tool / work knife” design concept even further by rounding the scales for a more ergonomic grip, using Elmax steel, and replacing the bearings with our own special bronze washers.

A strong, capable knife with an elegant puukko-style utility blade profile, the Nimbus cuts like a dream thanks to its high full flat grind and thin edge. A modern-looking folder with attitude and great cutting performance.

Our inspiration for the ACE Nimbus came from the classic Danish motorcycle of the same name. The Nimbus motorcycle, originally designed in 1915 by Danish designer Peder Fisker, was produced from 1919 to 1960. In an article about the 1957 Nimbus Type C, 'Motorcycle Classics' writes that the Nimbus “isn’t a machine you want for riding along the Interstate at 80 mph or blasting past Porsches above 12,000 feet on Independence Pass. This was intended as a utility workhorse, a forest hauler; run it slow and it will run almost forever.”

Borrowing from the rugged, utilitarian design of the Nimbus motorcycle, this knife is our take on a great “tool knife.” The GiantMouse ACE Nimbus is the kind of knife you’ll want in your winter coat, backpack, work jeans, or toolbox.
