In our opinion, Rockstead Knives are among the finest knives available on the market. Thanks to meticulous craftsmanship and unique designs, this semi-custom knife commands a premium price. The HIGO II folder features subtle design changes from the HIGO JH, most notably these beautifully milled titanium scales. The blade remains 3.5" carbon steel YXR7 with a black mirror-polished DLC finish and one of the finest edges in the industry. This knife has a 30° edge angle near the midpoint and 24° near the upper section, connected by one continuous, gradually tapering angle. This tapering blade angle is the result of Rockstead’s constant pursuit of exceptional sharpness. Opening is smooth, with a solid titanium lock that holds the blade securely in place. The incredible mirror finish is achieved through blade heat treatment and progressive hand polishing with sandpaper in 400, 600, 800, 1 200, and 2 000 grits. This is extremely intensive and time-consuming, because if any scratches appear during the process, the blade must be sent back to the previous step for correction. Once this is complete, the blade is polished for the final finish. The people at Rockstead have mastered this process to give the knife a beautiful finish and a razor-sharp edge unlike any other. The HIGO II TI-ZDP comes with a right-hand tip-up pocket clip, and each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
