In our opinion, Rockstead Knives are among the finest knives available on the market. Thanks to meticulous craftsmanship and unique designs, this semi-custom knife commands a premium price. The SAI-ZDP folder features a 3.125" VG10-clad ZDP-189 mirror-polished blade and titanium handles. Opening is smooth, with a solid lock that keeps the blade securely in place. The incredible mirror finish is achieved through heat treatment of the edge and progressive hand sanding using 400, 600, 800, 1 200 and 2 000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This is extremely intensive and time-consuming, because if any scratch appears during the process, the blade must be sent back to the previous finishing step. Once this is completed, the blade is sharpened for the final finish. The people at Rockstead have mastered this process to give their knives a beautiful finish and a razor-sharp edge unlike any other. The SAI-ZDP comes with a black leather belt pouch with an opening for attaching the included Torx-style key. Each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
