In our opinion, Rockstead Knives are among the finest knives available on the market. Thanks to meticulous craftsmanship and unique designs, this semi-custom folder commands a premium price. The SAI-ZDP features a 3.125" VG10-clad ZDP-189 blade with a mirror finish and titanium handles. Opening is smooth, with a solid lock that keeps the blade securely in place. The incredible mirror finish is achieved through heat treatment of the edge and gradual hand polishing using wet/dry sandpaper in grits 400, 600, 800, 1,200, and 2,000. This is a very intensive and time-consuming process, because if any scratch occurs during it, the edge must be sent back to the previous finishing step. Once this is completed, the blade is ground for the final finish. The people at Rockstead have mastered this process to give their knives a beautiful finish and a razor-sharp edge unlike any other. The SAI-ZDP comes with a black leather belt pouch with a hole for attaching the included Torx-style key. Each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
