Rockstead HIGO II X-CF-ZDP (BL) Carbon Handles Blue Titanium Folding Knife
Detailed product description
Rockstead HIGO II X-CF-ZDP (BL) Carbon Handles Blue Titanium Folding Knife
In our opinion, Rockstead Knives are among the finest knives available on the market. Thanks to meticulous craftsmanship and unique designs, this semi-custom folder justifies its premium price. The HIGO II folder features subtle design changes from the HIGO X, most notably these beautiful carbon fiber scales. The blade remains ZDP-189 steel with a mirror finish and one of the best edges in the industry. This knife has a 30° edge angle near the middle and 24° near the tip, with one continuous, gradually decreasing transition angle. This tapering blade angle is the result of Rockstead's constant pursuit of outstanding sharpness. Opening is smooth, with a solid titanium lock that holds the blade securely in place. The incredible mirror surface is achieved through heat treatment of the edge and gradual hand sanding with 400, 600, 800, 1,200, and 2,000 grit abrasive paper, both wet and dry. This is an extremely intensive and time-consuming process, because if any scratches appear during it, the blade must be sent back to the previous step for correction. Once this is completed, the blade is ground for the final finish. The people at Rockstead have mastered this process to give their knives a beautiful finish and a sharp edge like no other. The HIGO II X-CF-ZDP comes with a tip-up pocket clip for right-side carry, and each knife is individually numbered and includes a certificate of authenticity.
With proper maintenance, Rockstead knives are known to retain a sharp edge for 2-3 years.
